Hello my sweet ladies, today I'm going to talk about a very common subject among women. Fair, milk-white porcelain skin has always been considered as a beauty sign among many cultures, and despite that nowadays people tend more toward the sexier, tanned skin, some women would still do anything to get as pale and "white" as they can.
First of all, let me put this clearly. Those remedies will not transform you from a very dark ebony color to an ivory. These methods, when used consistently, will help you brighten up your skin and get it as light as it naturally is. In other words, it will only help with tan, ubnormal darkening, brown spots... But it will not give you anything beyond your original skin color. So let's get started!
1- The first and the most crucial step: STAY OUT OF THE SUN!! This is absolutely the most important and effective way to prevent the skin from darkening further, and it also allows it to retrieve its original pallor. It's incredible what the sun can do to your skin. I personally if I leave my house one day without my sunscreen, I feel chocked when I look at my skin when I come back home.
If it's really necessary for you to leave your house and go out in the sun, please wear the highest SPF sunscreen you can find! Reapply at least every two hours. Also wear protective clothes, hats, sunglasses... It's way better than sunscreen.
2- Here comes the first remedy. Exfoliate! Exfoliation gets rid of the top layer (the tanned one) and reveals the newer, untanned layers.
3- Baking Soda: This is amazing! You won't believe how great this thing works. Just rub a little amount of baking soda on the areas you want to lighten, but be gentle! Let it sit for a couple of minutes then wash off. Repeat at least once a week but no more than 3 times a week, since baking soda can be harsh, depending on how sensitive your skin is.
4- Lemon/Lime Juice. Lemon juice is, from my own experience, the most effective natural skin bleach out there. It just takes a lot of time and consistency to see the results you want. I used it for a couple of months last winter and everyone was noticing how pale I became.
5- Tomato Juice. Is a midler alternative to lemon juice. It also helps with acne.
6- Moisturize! A dry skin tends to tan faster and look darker. Keeping your skin hydrated will help with the overall appearance of it.
7- Finally, eat healthy and drink enough water (at least 8 glasses). This helps tremendously.
I hope this helped :) Stay tuned for more, and check out my older posts!
