How to Remove Black Acne Scars

Sometimes it just seems disappointing to remove black acne scars. If you have a dark skin, chances are your get darker and  nastier marks than people with fairer skin, ie dark brown and almost black instead of light red/purple.

Here are a couple quick tips to help you lighten and reduce these scars as fast as possible

  • Prevent further Darkening: This is paramount! You will never get rid of your black acne scars if you allow them to get darker. Avoid the sun completely if possible, or at least apply Sunblock with the highest SPF you can find and wear hats and protective clothes!
  • Try natural home remedies: my favorite two remedies are lemon juice and baking soda. Try using one of these two as a facial mask no more than twice a week and you will start seeing improvement.
  • Try an OTC cream: there are plenty of this at the drugstore and online. Most work just fine because lightening acne scars is relatively easily and doesn't have to be costly.
  • Consult your dermatologist: When all else fails, the dermatologist is your only hope. He's actually the only person that can really help by recommending the right treatment for your scars and skin type.
