Hello ladies, here's a quick tip for you on how to tone your hair using a very cheap and quite effective method.
The question is now, what color do you need to neutralize the brassiness and the red tones in my hair? If you're a brunette, use a mix of green and blue food coloring. Green cancels red and Blue cancels orange, so you can use this fact to decide about the green/blue proportions.
Shampoo your hair with that then leave the conditioner in for a couple of minutes. You should notice that the unwanted red brassy tones will look much less visible after a couple of applications.
Don't worry your hair won't turn green or blue ;)
